Senior Residential Support Worker

You will be providing nurture and support to young people whilst giving them high levels of care that promotes positive outcomes. You will encourage independence and help the young people thrive. .

What does the role involve?

Are you able to lead a team and multi-task whilst safeguarding the young people in the home?
Do you want to progress in your career and make use of your skills?

As a senior residential support worker you will have a clear progression plan with regular training and supervisions to discuss where you want to be.
Lead the Way
As a shift leader you will be responsible for managing the daily tasks and general running of the home.
Be Supportive
All young people are different and will sometimes need high levels of supervision, you should be able to meet
the needs of children with challenging and complex behaviour with your focus being the best possible outcomes.
Use Initiative
Teach everyday life skills to the young people like cooking and cleaning and oversee ad-hoc duties in the home by delegating work.
Build Relationships
Listen to the young people’s wishes and feelings and safeguard them whilst building positive
relationships.

What requirements are there?

#1

You should have a full UK Driving Licence.

Be 22 years of age or above.

#3

Level 3 in Children and young people.

#4

Experience working in a residential setting with young people.
