Residential Support Worker

You should be willing to take on a challenge and learn how to support young people, set boundaries and safeguard them.

What does the role involve?

Do you want a new rewarding challenge that really makes a difference where no two days are the same?
You will have the opportunity to guide the young people and help them when they face challenges or they need someone to just listen. Working in a children's home allows you to be yourself and show your personality, wear your own clothes and use your life skills to provide nurture to the young people and make memories – a job like no other.
Build Relationships
Listen to the young people’s wishes and feelings and safeguard them whilst building positive
relationships.
Be Supportive
All young people are different and will sometimes need high levels of supervision, you should be able to meet the needs of children with challenging and complex behaviour with your focus being the best possible outcomes.
Use Initiative
Teach everyday life skills to the young people like cooking and cleaning. Support the young people with
education and get involved in activities that interests them.

What requirements are there?

You should have a full UK driving licence.

Be aged 22 years old or above.

Level 2 in Children and young people (preferred).

#4

Experience of working in a residential setting with young people (preferred).
